Yesterday I got this response:

Welcome to the electorate the Greens and Julia Gillard have signed off on an agreement this morning for support for Labor, it covers most of what you have asked Janelle and you may not know being new to the electorate that Janelle is a member of the left, if you look on Bob Browns website it may already be there.

I subscribe to Crikey so I have read this. Bernard’s analysis is pretty spot on most of the time, though he consistently said that the Greens support in polling in the lead up to the election was inflated, I’m glad he was wrong on that. It’s a shame though that it takes a hung parliament and Greens BOP in the Senate for the ALP to shift, slightly, to the left. That said I so see this as a positive and progressive move.
I did assume that Janelle would be in the Left, but then, so is Gillard.
